Gasoline Grill in Carlsberg Byen occupies a refurbished brick structure set at the centre of a granite-cobbled square. Designed in collaboration with Briq Architects in Copenhagen, the space embraces its industrial bones open plan with exposed steel tie beams that allowed for a long custom zinc-topped counter, a modern nod to the classic diner. Limewashed walls soften the interior, while custom metal table lamps fixed to the bar and a backlit polycarbonate frontage create a warm evening glow and an affordable solution for a large-scale counter. In summer, bifold doors open fully to let the energy spill out into the square.
